You can either
- use onstat, as another reply mentioned already, and
analyse the output(s)
- or query the SMI tables
We tried both and had every sort of problems of
beeing too slow or beeing inconsistent, i.e. our analysis scripts did
not find consistent states of information in the SMI tables
or we caused simply too much load on the systems by generating
shared memory snapshots of > 30 MB using onstat .......
The only thing we did not play around was to run onperf & anlyse it's
output
We now use Platinum's EPM DBVision for INFORMIX which is pretty a
solution.
Give me a telephone call, if you like on Monday during business hours
or e-mail me directly, I can pass you any sort of scripts & information
We are running >100 SNI RM400/600 SINIX V5.43 & INFORMIX DSA 7.12 UC1
