Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hello Everybody:
My problem is like follow:
I have a table with many thousands of rows, and that has indexes,
if I drop the indexes and then re-create them, I get the following error:
-103 ISAM error: illegal key descriptor (too many parts or too long).
The ISAM processor has been given an invalid key descriptor. C-ISAM
programs: Review the key descriptor. There is a maximum of 8 parts and 120
characters to each key descriptor. SQL products: Should not occur; please
note all circumstances and contact the Informix Technical Support
Department.
Does everybody know how to drop and then create indexes in a table,
without this problem ?
The same problem occurs when I creates indexes in a table with
many rows.
