Hello who reads me! I'm trying to build an *.exe for Windows with ESQL/C and Borland C. If I use the esql options, everything goes well, otherwise ... I think the problem is with the Microsoft Resources Compiler (rc). The *.exe is generate without any warning, but there isn't any *.res file neither icon information (*.ico). In the File/Run of Windows, the application appear without icon and nothing happen during the execution... I'm quite sure that I'm not using it (rc) correctly. Below, I present my makefile. If anyone can find any think less correct, please, tell something. #-----------------------------# # makefile Borlandc + ESQL/C # #-----------------------------# # Tlink + Resource Compiler (rc) cancel.exe : cancel.obj cancel.def $(WINLINK) cancel, cancel, NUL, $(WINLIB), cancel.def rc -t cancel.exe # Borlandc compilation cancel.obj : cancel.c $(WINCC) cancel.c # ESQL: -e Preprocess only, no compilation or linking cancel.c : cancel.ec esql -e cancel.ec --------------------------------------------------------------- where WINLNK, WINLIB, WINCC are set with the follow batch file: SET INCLUDE=c:\\borlandc\\include SET SQLLIB=%INFORMIXDIR%\\lib SET WINCC=bcc -c -mm -W -I%INFORMIXDIR%\\incl SET WINLINK=tlink /c /Twe c0wm.obj SET WINLIB=%SQLLIB%\\mbcsqlw.lib %SQLLIB%\\isqli501.lib cwm import SET WINRC=rc -r -i\\borlandc\\include The esql syntax which goes well is: esql -bc cancel.ec cancel.def -r cancel.rc Thanks in advance. -- //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Luis Martins Ferreira INESC Porto Producao & Logistica Phone: +351 2 2094248 Phone: +351 2 2094000 Pr. da Republica, 85-95 E-mail:lufer@gui.inescn.pt Fax: +351 2 2094270 4000 Porto - Portugal
