Ridiculous Press Release Warfare

It is this type of behavior that now causes many to refer to IBM as "I've Been Misled" After being annoyed by both sets of posters, I'll take my couple of shots: Using 25 % more CPU power to achieve 19% better performance is NOT very impressive. To insinuate that this was impossible for Oracle to run because it REQUIRED 8GB of memory is even more ridiculous. The previous supported max config from Digital was 8CPU 8GB memory. Still no Apples to Apples comparison. With the speed and fervor of the response, maybe the "Oracle Spies" thread wasn't so weird after all.... PS - The only people that frighten me more than these PR posters is the people that use these threads to actually make their database decision. NOW That's something to be paranoid about........ Dan
