Informix 7.31 on Suse 9.1

I've been trying to put Informix 7.31UD1 on a brand new Suse 9.1 PRO box, but I'm facing a lot of troubles. This version of Suse came with kernel 2.6.xxx and of course different versions of glibc and all other ld libraries. Because of that, Informix couldn't, at first, be installed. I adjusted the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL env parameter to 2.4.1 and Informix could be installed without any problems. As soon as I returned an ontape archive I realized that some programs (specially the ones that needs to connect directly to the shared memory) are not working. For instance: if I call onmonitor, I receive a message: "** WARNING: Network Down **--On-Line". Weird, isn't it? Any clues about it? Thanks in advance! Julio Cesar sending to informix-list
