Subject: tools for dba administration and performance monitoring: I am currently running Online DSA 7.21 on HPUX10.10 and very shortly going to Online DSA 7.22 on HPUX10.20. Servers are HPk420. Application is a mix of PowerBuilder version 5 and intensive batch MicroFocus Cobol. 1.Is anyone using BMC Patrol, HP Measureware, Compuware EcoTools, Platinum DB Vision, or any other tool for dba admin and performance monitoring? 2. How would you rate its installation, day to day operation, functionality, maintenance & upgrades, vendor support? 3. What are its highlights? Significant assists in admin & performance tuning? Realtime and historical information reporting? 4. What are its shortcomings/limitations? Resource utilization too high? 5. Character, GUI, or both interfaces? platforms for GUI? 7. Any additional helpful comments or other sources of information? thanks for your interest and help
