Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Eric Vercelletto got SQL error -284 (subquery returned more than one row) from onsmsync -g in the PSM during expiration, so media recycling failed. Paul Watson joked about onmode -I 284; Andreas Legner suggested PSM_DEBUG and PSM_DEBUG_LOG. Eric said the PSM log showed no error, backup objects were piling up, and asked whether to open a ticket. Unresolved.

Hi Folks,
having a stupid error -284 when running onsmsync -g , which ends in not complete the media recycling operation.
here is what the onbar log says

Not sure in which table this error occurs. I am trying to access with Informix SE to the PSM_CATALOG_PATH tables but no database name to use ...
Any idea on how to fix this ?
Thanks, as always
Eric

Brilliant idea Paul
Should I create a RFE for this new option

Hi Eric,
there's PSM_DEBUG and PSM_DEBUG_LOG, very similar to BAR_DEBUG[_LOG].
Maybe this can shed more light on your problem?

Andreas

Hi Andreas
Nice try, and cool functionality, now I know with lot of details what onsmsync does, but the bar_log file gives an error probably with a function name and a prepared statement name, and the psm log (in 2100+ lines) does not mention any error nor function name or anything similar.
This is starting to be annoying because backup objects volume is growing and I cannot clear them ...
Should I log a ticket ?
