I have to agree. :-) I was also reading these responses with interest. The trouble (??!) with OnLine is that it is so scaleable, you can keep throwing hardware at it and see performance improvements. At the end of the day I would also agree with Clem that it depends on the application. I have seen a number of Baan sites lately. Baan was written to use flat files and not relational databases, and therefore uses very little memory, but LOTS of CPU power. > So the hardware guys are right: you always need more hardware ;-).
