I need candidates to assist a small, trade association client. The client has budget and will pay for services, and over time this will be a good client, however no fortunes will be made on the initial project. The SI needs the following resources and skill set: Several technical employees, and an understanding of and willingness to be the "on-call" system administrator for a small, trade association office. Good people and listening skills. Ability to design a project work plan and a budget, and carry it out on time and within budget. Must be able to design an architecture for a primarily Mac office that must integrate PC's, the Internet, and within a year or so, a robust client-server application suite running on a transaction oriented database management system such as Sybase/SQL Server, Oracle, Informix, etc. Server OS may remain Apple, but may also migrate to NT or UNIX based on the requirements of the database applications. Hopefully the firm will be local to the Puget Sound region. Technical resources must be VERY knowledgable about: ' Macintosh OS (System 7.5), ' ethertalk LANs and ethernet LANs ' integration of e-mail, gateways, bridges, hubs, routers, etc. ' linking and configuring routers to ethertalk/ethernet LANs, ' integrating windows based PCs into this network, ' integrating Internet clients on the Macs & PC's on the LAN ' database management system application design and implementation ' developing necessary policies and procedures for a non technical staff to follow in managing the parts of the network that will be theirs to manage ' designing and implementing network administration training for same non technical staff ' eventual integration of the above application (suite) into the above network environment Please send names to me at the address below. There is a short fuse on this project. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bill Pickard bpickard@halcyon.com
