Obnoxio is right on here. The shared memory connection service is a
dummy service and is not used for the connections, HOWEVER, if it
happens to be the same as another connection on the same server the
engine will add additional poll threads to the VPs configured in the
NETTYPE parameter for that connection as a TCP connection which will
eat resources and spin the CPU. In other words DON'T DO THAT!

YES the listeners are listening to the first address in /etc/hosts that
has the symbolic name sb270t which is 127.0.0.1, or the local loopback
driver, while the clients are trying to connect to the 212.164.48.68
address. Like holding the telephone receiver upside down and wondering
why you and your caller cannot hear each other! Remove the sb270t name
from the localhost address and all should be fine.
