Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Jean Georges Perrin had trouble running Krakatoa (Java UDR support) on Linux. Claus Samuelsen said /etc/ld.so.conf.d/informix.conf must list three krakatoa jre directories under extend (jre/bin, jre/bin/classic, jre/lib). Jean Georges confirmed it worked. Claus said it is documented in the ids_machine_notes file in the release directory. Solved.
Auto-generated by Claude from the posts below — may be imperfect; read the full thread.
You should have at least the following lines in the
/etc/ld.so.conf.d/informix.conf file:
/opt/IBM/informix/extend/krakatoa/jre/bin
/opt/IBM/informix/extend/krakatoa/jre/bin/classic
/opt/IBM/informix/extend/krakatoa/jre/lib
Sorry for not being precise in my first reply.
Thanks! Special thanks for Sunday tech support ;-)...
All seems to work now (I need to do further testing).
Where could I find this?

In the machine specific notes
$INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333/ids_machine_notes
RTFM ;-)...
Well, actually I went into this file and did not find it. I was looking for
"Java" and "UDR", but I should have looked for JRE...
The best thing is that everything works now.
Thanks.
