Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
In a thread on a temp table visible to all sessions, John Miller III noted that from IDS 10 raw tables can have indexes, though not constraints. He said IDS 11 non-blocking checkpoints do not block users while flushing buffers. Keith Simmons had said only temp tables can be unlogged and are private. Mars Chen understood the explanation.
Auto-generated by Claude from the posts below — may be imperfect; read the full thread.
Actually in version 10 and above you may place indexes on
raw tables. So you can have a non-logged table with indexes. Now
in version 11 checkpoint I/O does not occur while people
are locked out, this should satisfy your second requirement..
The only thing you can not do it put constraints on raw tables.

Only temp tables can be unlogged, but temp tables are only available
to their creator.
RAW tables have a low overhead but cannot have indexes or constraints.
Even at 11.5 there is not the type of table you ar looking for.
Rasie a feature request on IBM :-)

Sorry for my english ... I can not catch what you mean in the following ">>>"

May I ask what "While people are locked out" mean ?!
In version 11 of IDS there was a feature introduced which is
called non-blocking checkpoints. This type of checkpoint does not
block any user action when the data from the bufferpool is
being flushed to disk (give the proper configuration).
This is unlike previous version where either blocking
checkpoints or fuzzy checkpoints existed.
