IDS Server 7.x for AIX and for WinNT

We've noticed that online 7.23 for NT and 7.20 for Aix have dishomogeneous behaviours in displaying floats. In other words our Unix application (precompiled using Informix ESQL/C for Aix) has some problems displaying floats when accessing a WinNT db. The same query works (and display results) fine accessing the local Aix db. Any help would be much appreciated. Andrea

Floats are not implemented the same by different operating systems or even different vendors of the same type of operating system. I don't know for sure that this is part of your problem, but it may be a place to look... you could try using the double(n,n) data type and see if the same anomolous behaviour occurs.
