informix.sysdefaults - not in database SE 5.01.UD3

i've recently received an upgrade to my copy of SE - we were at 4.11 and have now received 5.01.UD3 (for RS/6000). i placed the new software into its own directory, and things seem to work ok - EXCEPT (always an exception)! when i try to run 'dbschema' on tables, i get the following result: grant connect to public; the table (informix.sysdefaults) is not in the database. Thinking this might be something new to 5.0, i created a new, empty database hoping it would create this missing table, but alas, it did not. i then created a new, empty table in this database and ran 'dbschema' against it (ie: dbschema -t tab1 -d junk -p all) same exact error - The table (informix.sysdefaults) is not in the database. I filed a support call with Informix but so far their suggestions (reload sw, new media) have been worthless, so i thought the user community might know already... if so, please email - i don't get much chance to read the news anymore :-( thanks in advance jm
