Error 908

A developer in my group got this message when running "dbaccess" or "isql" followed by the name of our database. I also could not get into the data base. I could not access database via network connection (using "ILOGIN.EXE" in Windows). Eventually the users' rep called. The database was inaccessible. At the suggestion of Informix support, I bumped up the number of users in the NETTYPE parameter setting in my onconfig file . I brought engine down and then up. All appears ok at this time. Any suggestions, thoughts or admonitions will be dutifully talken in. Please e-mail as I am starting what should be a great vacation on Friday afternoon! Thanks.
