ACE v/s SQL: query result outputting capability question

Hi, We have an ace script that we use to do sql query, then some data manipulation and then output the results using ACE's print command. The ACE output command is: print column 01, out_product, column 16, recopendate, column 26, firstfix, column 36, origname, column 66, phonenum, column 78, tracknum, column 79, cr[1,2], column 81, crjulseq, This prints all these fields in concatenation and outputs a long string. We need to convert this ACE script to a plain SQL script with output in the same way, because we need to run it on both Informix and Oracle (and Oracle doesn't have ACE). Is it possible ? because running an sql query generates its own output which we don't have ACE like control on. If it's possible, how it can be done ? If possible, please reply directly. Thanks very much. AH
