Problems reverting IDS 10 to 9.4

[A brief look at our history]
We are currently running IDS 9.3 on most of our
production database servers. We are trying to migrate
off of it and were going to use version 10. Sounds
good, right?
[Our first problem]
After make a go at IDS 10 we have found at least one
bug that makes it a show stopper for us. It was a
known bug and here is the thread for anyone who cares.

[Our second problem]
When I upgraded from 9.3 to 10 in our dev/test
instance things went horribly wrong, it was all my
fault BTW (I don't want anyone thinking that Informix
was to blame). I had to "oninit -i" the instance and
start from scratch on version 10. I thought that would
be alright and it was until I had to revert the
instance down to IDS 9.4.
This reversion proved to be a difficult task since ALL
check constraints, triggers and UDR's that were
created after the instance was brought up as a 10
instance, which happened to be from day one in this
case, needed to be dropped before the reversion and
then added back after the fact. I'm game for a little
work so I scripted it out for all of the databases in
my instance. The reversion went smooth from there.
Things then got ... not so smooth. I tried to
re-generate update statistics statements on a database
and got this error "9753: Unable to find User Defined
Routine with the given id." I narrowed this error in
my program down to a select on the sysindexes view.
After some more digging I found that there is a
function called informix.ikeyextractcolno that did not
show up in the schema files I was working off of since
it's not a UDR and the "onmode -b 9.4" did not mention
it as a function that needed to be dropped and
rebuilt, as it had on all other routines.
I have a case open with Informix and we do not have
this issue resolved yet but I'm assuming that this
function not being dropped and recreated is my primary
issue.
If anyone managed to stay interested enough to read
this far, has anyone else experienced this problem or
have any help on getting this function dropped and
rebuilt?
Thanks,
DL
