Think of it as setting up your sqlhosts on the UNIX server. Server Information: Informix Server: This needs to be the same as the DBSERVERNAME or DBSERVERALIAS on the UNIX server. Make sure you click "Make Default Server". This sets INFORMIXSERVER in the Environment pane. Host Name: hostname of UNIX server Protocol: same as on unix server in sqlhosts file. i.e. onsoctcp Service Name: Must be the service name that you defined in your .../etc/services file Note that the port must be the same as what your online server is using in /etc/services on the UNIX host.
