NLS with Online workgroup server

Hi, I'm using OWS 7.20 on Win NT4.0 and Informix-CLI 2.50 on a different computer. There is a problem when using an update- or insert-Statement with Colums of Type char and having in more than one of these columns data containing german "umlaute". This is a known problem to me. Some months ago, while using Informix-Online on SCO-Unix from the same client, i had to SET DBNLS=1 SET LANG=de_DE.ISO8859-1 (or any other valid value from /etc/default/lang) before creating the database. If you check dbaccess (Database/Info/Nls) rhen, you see Collating Sequence and CType having the value of the LANG-setting. Now, i tried to do the same on the NT-Server using the Command Line Utilities and setting LANG,DBLANG,DB_LOCALE and so on to de_DE.ISO8859-1, but all database i create (dbimport oder manually in dbaccess) are still set to en_US.819 ?! What are the valid values in which Environment-Variables, taht affect this behaviour here, what is /etc/default/lang (as the source for valid values) under NT :-) Bye.. Michael
