Hello, I am currently doing a comparison between Informix, IBM DB2 (UDB), and Oracle for use as a data warehouse on Unix. Can anyone with experience with these other databases give some comparative information? Thanks, John S.
The only information i can give is the experience from working with NCR Teradata I recomend that you take a looked at it if your planing for a DW-project. http://www3.ncr.com/product/analyst/od798.pdf Leif // John Shoemaker skrev: > Hello, > > I am currently doing a comparison between Informix, IBM DB2 (UDB), and > Oracle for > use as a data warehouse on Unix. Informix has just gained a new data warehouse product, DataStage, which will kill giants at 100 paces, John. Matti
John, you might add UniVerse to the list of databases to compare as the new Informix product from Ardent, Datastage for data warehousing, is based on UniVerse. It just might compare rather nicely to those flat databases.
