Stable, 90-year-old, but technologically aggressive company in Columbus, OH, USA, has openings for experienced front-end programmers. You will join a team developing a robust client/server database system and creating interactive commerce applications (for the World Wide Web, CD-ROM, kiosks, etcetera) to be served by that database. The completed system will integrate graphics conversion, multimedia, Internet, automated print and web publishing, and other technologies. Highly beneficial experience would include: * building database front-ends (we're using Omnis 7.3.5). * familiarity with relational database design; * proficiency in C/C++; Somewhat beneficial experience would include: * web programming -- HTML, CGI, JavaScript, etc; * Macintosh programming; * Windows NT or Unix familiarity; We're most in need of experienced, skilled, senior-level programmers, but we could also use one or two programmers with limited experience. Essentially, we're looking for wizards, people who are just plain smarter than the average programmer, hopefully even smarter than any of us, because (don't tell management we said this, but... ) we're a pretty obtuse lot. We offer a dynamic, solutions-oriented, technology-driven atmosphere, casual dress, competitive salaries, full benefits, 401K. You get to work on machines loaded with all the RAM and peripherals and development tools/environments/goodies your heart desires. The boss is a genuinely nice guy. All in all, the company provides a great place to work, and we're not just saying that. To apply for this position, fax a cover letter and resume to 614.228.2115, marked to the attention of Jeff Wiedl, or e-mail some evidence of your qualifications to our AOL address.
