Moving Production server to another server

Hi floks, I have big task today, Due to some issues with production server, we need to change the Existing production server to New server. So I have Installed same version of IDS as a previous production server to new Server. I have a doubt here. Taking dbexport backup of production server and importing to new server. Is there any other process of doing this.
