That is a great and sober recommendation. Replacing that 18.2GB drive with 9 2.1GB drives or 5 4.2GB higher performance drives will allow Carol to stripe the drives and increase performance by serveral times. I took Carol's problem too literally myself and did not deal with the whole issue of why use an 18G drive in the first place, beyond cost of course. Art S. Kagel
