Onmonitor does some validation of values. (Although there was a bug where onmonitor and oninit had different ideas about what the validations should be and you could set values in onmonitor which meant oninit would not start!). make sure none of the parameters are set lower than the values in onconfig.std (the default onconfig file). Check $INFORMIXDIR/release/ONLINE_7.1 and check if SHMBASE needs adding to your onconfig file... -- David Williams
