We use a trace function to write out to a file who is doing what. This is pretty hard to read, especially if you want information about the whole database's users and not just the poop on one user. One way to find the database in use is to use an environmental variable, set on entry, and look for that variable in a "ps -aux" command. We have one application that does that. Depending on what your users may do when they get loose on the system this may not do you any good. These are "artificial" ways to find out who is where. There may be "real" ways, but they aren't very easy. The tbstat command yields information such as the number of users currently accessing a table, the locks held (by whom and on which table), and more, but the numbers are all in hex. I think there may be a way to piece all this together and find out what you want to know, but I'm not sure. Depending on what you want to accomplish with this information, that might help.
