Transient files (temporary tables) are in some cases recorded in the transaction log too. For example, a "SELECT ... INTO TEMP sel_temp" will generate log records (but not "SELECT ... INTO TEMP sel_temp WITH NO LOG"). If you want to investigate, use the SE dblog utility to display log records since your last apparent database activity. If temporary tables are being created, you will se the build (BU) and erase (ER) records for them, with pathnames in the DBTEMP directory. -Jeff
