Informix 4.1 & Sun SOLARIS v2.4

Could anybody out there help me ... I am trying to port some Informix 4GL & SQL V4.10.UC1 applications from a SunOS v4.1.2 enviroment to SOLARIS v2.4 using the binary compatibily features of SOLARIS. Due to re-licencing issues & costs we are trying to use the SunOS port of Informix to run using SOLARIS's binary compatibility. The problem is this : We use NIS to get our password file on the SOLARIS box from a NIS master running SunOS v4.1.2. This works fine when logging in - but when I run 'isqlrf' (we have a runtime licence for this machine) informix segmentation faults and core dumps.
