NewEra 3 Grids

Can any one tell me what happened to the grids in NewEra 3 ? I am converting between a NE2.2 app to a NE3. Grids in NE3 are much flatter, with no 3d effect whatsoever. Also, I used tabbed windows provided with the AFCL. When I change tabs, the grids flicker like hell ! Any help or ideas ? David
