Any ideas would be very helpful. I recall a bug of this sort in early ports of 4GL 4.1, but I think it has be fixed in current versions. The bug had to do with a DISPLAY statement while the user was in an INPUT statement. You could verify the problem by calling the update_function() outside of the input array: set a flag and exit input from the after row statement, check the flag and call update_function() after the end input, then loop back into the input array. This is NOT an adequate work-around, I know, just a way to prove that running DISPLAY within the INPUT ARRAY is the problem. I took a quick look in our Problem Tracking System, but couldn't find this bug; tech support may be able to help you more. There may be a more recent release for Sequent that solves this problem. ================ Dennis J. Pimple Informix CSE / Denver
