With AIX and linux, you can simply add machine A and/or user informix
to /etc/hosts.equiv on machine B, and you have access to machine B's
filesystem and other devices (like tape drives) transparently just by
referencing the resource in "remotehost:/device/to/write/to". Is the
hosts.equiv method available on Solaris?
