Informix JDBC demo folder does not exists?
Alexandre Marini could not find the demo folder or IfxBSONObjectDemo.java in Informix JDBC 4.10/4.50. Paul Watson supplied the file and offered the demo directory. Brian Hughes explained the demos were removed from the installer and moved online, the documentation was not updated, and he pointed to the informix-db-examples repository including a BSON example.

Hello, all. Informix JDBC 4.10 (or even 4.50) does not contain any demo folder mentioned in manuals? https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSGU8G_14.1.0/com.ibm.jdbc.doc/ids_jdbc_514.htm I was looking for IfxBSONObjectDemo.java file. If somebody knows how can I get that sample, would help us a lot! Thanks a lot, all take care. ------------------------------ Best regards Alexandre Marini ------------------------------ #Informix

Hi, Paul! Thank you so much for sending this content. You need to whole demo directory ? Cheers Paul
Hi, Paul. Well, that would be nice if some other example can be useful for Developers. If you can also provide it, would be also great, I think. Not only for me, maybe we can let this content into our repository later? I know it is proprietary, so that's why I am asking.... Don't see why it can't be distributed if the boiler plates are intacted but .... Better wait for IBM to fix their install Cheers Paul
Thanks Paul for posting that. Install isn't broken :) Demos were removed from the JDBC installer and moved online. Now, you can say the docs are broken because the links and references to them have not been updated :( We have a small but modernized set of examples here now informix/informix-db-examples For BSON, we have an example hosted here informix-db-examples/BsonExample.java at master · informix/informix-db-examples · GitHub ------------------------------ Brian Hughes ------------------------------
