Remove them entirely, the server will auto-create them for its own purposes, and according to its own measuring. Relevant only with RTO_SERVER_RESTART, i.e. if you want the server to determine checkpoint intervals based on a target "recovery time objective" (how long should fast recovery take in the event of a crash). ------------------------------ Andreas Legner ------------------------------
Rob: The RAS_* parameters are auto calculated and set by the engine for it to use on startup. They are always set and adjusted periodically on the fly. However, they are only actually used if the RTO_SERVER_RESTART is set to a non-zero recovery time value. So, you can leave them alone, zero them out for a new instance, or remove them entirely. Whatever they are set to on server initialization is ignored and if they are not present, the server will add them in later. Art ------------------------------ Art S.
