If anything, it will be I-Net; I-Star (I-m almost certain) appeared with OnLine, which is version 4.00 and hence post-dates Turbo. So, you'd be running the Turbo sqlexecd on a port, and your sqlhosts file in 7.30 would identify that port and oltlitcp or olsoctcp. Hmmm, I guess it would work as long as no-one tried to do anything Turbo did not understand. The direct connection might work too, I suppose, if you told the 7.30 software that it was an seipcpip connection and listed sqlturbo (possibly by a full pathname) as the service. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.62 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
