Running Applications in 80 or 132 columns

We have an application written in Informix 4GL. We have the need to run some applications in an 80 column mode and some in a 132 column mode. Does anyone know if there is a way to switch column modes within the 4GL or by any other method. Our application is running on a SUN SPARC 10 with SunOS 4.1.3 and Informix 5.03. Our Terminals are Wyse50's. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
