Is there some > book or guide to these parameters that comes with Informix???? You don't mention which version of Informix you wish to load or what kind of app (OLTP, OLAP, DSS) you have in mind. All these things have an effect on how you set up your kernel. The best thing to do is to read the release notes in the $INFORMIXDIR/release directory and use that as a starting point.
