Hi all.
In Informix 9.x you can do the following:
EXECUTE PROCEDURE ifx_allow_newline( 't' );
INSERT INTO foobar VALUES ( '1 23 4' );
I don't know offhand whether you can do this with 7.x and 8.x as well.
