I have been an Informix DBA for several years and do find I'm particularly interested in technical issues; however, many times in the course of my job I have been asked to do some logical modeling, think about warehouse issues, sit on strategy teams related to data, etc. I think it would be a great help to both myself and others to have a more targetted forum for discussing these issues. While most DBAs are quite busy doing their day to day work, it is important to get beyond our parochial concerns and see the wider picture. I'll vote for it.
