7.3 also support "External Backup and Restore" (EBR). No ontape or onbar
for backup -- just "onmode -c block", split mirrors or copy, then "onmode
-c unblock". Regular onbar with new '-e' option supports logical restore
with roll-forward of logs (partial or point-in-time) created after
split/copy. See 7.3 announcements at www.informix.com for more info.
