I have a question here on OnLine7 connectivity.
Consider these two machines...
MachineA 1 OnLine database called "dbA"
MachineB 1 OnLine database called "dbB"
MachineA sqlhosts
-----------------
dbAshm onipcshm MachineA shm_file
dbAtli ontlitcp MachineA inf7_dbA <-(in /etc/services)
dbBtli ontlitcp MachineB inf7_dbB <-(in /etc/services)
MachineB sqlhosts
-----------------
dbBshm onipcshm MachineB shm_file
dbBtli ontlitcp MachineB inf7_dbB <-(in /etc/services)
On machineA, if INFORMIXSERVER=dbAtli, I expect to see only the db on
MachineA - "dbA" when I run dbaccess. To my amaze, databases from both
machines appear on the database selection screen on dbaccess. Can anyone
tell me how does that work? Is there anyway to configure such that I
only see the db on MachineA when selecting db in dbaccess?
Appreciate your help.
