HI,
If I split the data file into multiple files. I use below method to load the
data into a single table in HDR environment.
1) using external table;
2) open multiple session to run dbload, one dbload session read one data file.
Do anybody know which one has more good performance?
thanks for your time.

One additional though.
If you were to make the table a normal table then it would work with HDR, but
would take longer.
But couldn't you
1) Create the new table with a different name while the old table still
existed. The table would be logged, so that it would work with HDR. The
application would continue to use the existing table. It might take longer to
load but the apps would still be active. Let's say that the table name is
mytab and the table being loaded is named mytab_new.
Once the table mytab_is loaded then ...
2) Bring down the application...
3) Drop the table mytab4) RENAME table mytab_new to mytab5) Bring up the
application....
While it might take longer to load, the down time for the application would be
just for the drop table and the rename table. I'd think that would only take a
few seconds, and since HDR would still be fully functional.
