Ideas for creating IDS performance baseline

Hi All, I'm looking to create a baseline for an IDS 7.30 server running on UNIX, currently I'm capturing all data from onstat -p every 5 seconds to a delimited text file. This will hopefully give me most of the information I'm looking for to create a baseline. I'm looking for ideas other IDS administrators may have implemented to capture these statistics and/or which parameters may be more prevalent than others. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
