For those who are in question: In Informix 5.X in the Informix Guide to SQL Reference Dec 1991 page 2-25 NPUSED is defined as: "number of data pages in use". For Informix 7.1 in Same book page 2-40 it states the same thing! Get the npused value from a table, execute an TBCHECK -pT on that table and notice the difference in numbers.
