Cron is logged in as the user but seems to need full path names set up. We usually add most of the lines in .profile (including INFORMIXDIR variable) and PATH in the program being run so that cron knows where to find and write programs. You might even have to add something like 2>/dev/null at the end of the line in the cron file so that any output comming back to a terminal would be caught. Look at other crontab entry's to see how they are done. You may know all this, and you might find it in a book, but I remember when I asked more questions that I was asked. Someone who had been around longer, really made a difference. CG
