One thing to be apprised of is that if you're using `ontape` and your backup requires more than one tape, at the end of the first tape `ontape` will sit there eatting up CPU cycles (it doesn't just sit there politely, waiting . . .) trying to access the second tape, until you give it a second one. If you redirect output to a file, `ontape` will proceed to simply fill it up - not good if you have space constrictions.
