John, I'd say the problem was within your PC's services file. To me, the error "getservbyname [WSANO_DATA]" says that an error occured while the software was trying to lookup the port number associated with the service name. Most likely, you're entering the service name from the File->Run option of ILogin. If you're leaving it blank, it will be picked up from the values entered in SetNet (which you might have run automatically as part of the install). So, what I would do is: 1) Figure out which service name you're using. 2) Make sure the service name appears in your SERVICES file and that it is unique and assigned a unique number. Also, make sure there is a carriage return after the line in you SERVICES file. 3) Make sure you server's SERVICES file also has the same number defined. Try all of that and then let us know where you stand. --Craig (craig@chemistry.utah.edu) > > I tried running ILOGIN.EXE, and it errors out with a -932, then a Winsock > Error "getservbyname [WSANO_DATA]. > > John Aydelotte > Camtronics Medical Systems > aydelotte@camtronics.com >
