Perform screen and ACE prompt for

Is there a way in ACE report writer to have a value go into the "prompt for" from a value entered into a Perform screen? I'm using ISQL 7.32. Rather than have a prompt come up I'd like to use a Perform screen to have the user enter search criteria for the ACE report.

Have the form place the search criteria into a table with a tag to identify it. Then have the ACE report use a join to or select from that table to filter the data for the report. You'd only have to pass the tag into the ACE report. The parent session's process id should work as a tag. Art S. Kagel
And/or compile a C function into "sperform" so you can run an "sacego" command within an AFTER EDITADD control block. This is pure conjecture! -- Regards, Doug Lawry www.douglawry.webhop.org "Art S.
