Move to 5 or 7 ???

Hi there My company is about to move to a new version of Informix SE We are currently on version 4.1 which is no longer supported by Informix. Cost considerations aside, which version should we be moving to. 5 is the oldest version Informix will support but 7 appears to be the latest version. Most of our applications are in esql/c which presumably needs recompiling or Visual Basic via ODBC Any information on new functionality / performance / ODBC / recompiling etc would be greatly appreciated.
