Accessing Informix with Microsoft-IIS

I have a informix ows 7.30 running on a nt-server, and on another nt-server there is the microsoft-iis running as a webserver. now i want to access my informix-database from the internet. the iis is using a special username 'IUSR_myserver' to access the local harddisks and files. i have written an exefile with delphi, and it works as long as the user 'IUSR_myserver' is logged into the server directly at the server itself. when he is not logged in, i get the message: Unable to load locale categories but when the user is logged in, everything works fine. so my question is: as long as the user is not logged in, and a service running with that user account is trying to connect the database, how can i make the settings which i usually make with setnet for this user?
Hi Hans, The Setnet32 utility copies the its settings to CURRENT_USER in the registry. Therefore, when you come in through the web, the user is different. Informix comes with a utility called REGCOPY which will copy the registry settings to all other users. Run that and then should should be able to run your CGI script. Thanks, Imran. =========================================== Imran Hussain MCP, MCSD imranh@imranweb.com FOR FREE Software http://www.imranweb.com/freesoft =========================================== Hans-Dieter Tewes wrote: > I have a informix ows 7.30 running on a nt-server, and on another > nt-server there is the microsoft-iis running as a webserver. now i want > to access my informix-database from the internet. the iis is using a > special username 'IUSR_myserver' to access the local harddisks and > files. > i have written an exefile with delphi, and it works as long as the user > 'IUSR_myserver' is logged into the server directly at the server itself. > when he is not logged in, i get the message: Unable to load locale > categories > but when the user is logged in, everything works fine. > > so my question is: as long as the user is not logged in, and a service > running with that user account is trying to connect the database, how > can i make the settings which i usually make with setnet for this user? --
