IDS 10 -> 11.5
Posted in 2010
A user who had just upgraded from IDS 10 to 11.50 asked where to find a list of the new features gained over version 10. Replies pointed him to the release notes for both 11.10 and 11.50 (since features were added in each), the "new features" sections at the front of each manual, and the IBM Information Center "What's new" pages for v11.5 on publib.boulder.ibm.com. The poster admitted he had never bothered reading IDS release notes before and accepted the advice to start doing so.

Is there a good set of pages somewhere that let you know about the new stuff that 11.5 gives you over 10? We recently upgraded to 11.5 and I really want to know about all the stuff it offers that 10 didn't. Release notes for 11.10 and 11.50 and also at the beginning of each manual is the list of new features documented in that manual - so again you can look in the 11.10 and 11.50 manuals. Art Art S. So, what you're saying is you never read the release notes? -- Cheers, Obnoxio The Clown http://obotheclown.blogspot.com I will now proceed to pleasure myself with this fish. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by OpenProtect(http://www.openprotect.com), and is believed to be clean.
This is the first time since I've started in the IDS world that we've upgraded, at all (except 1 patch a year ago). Normally i don't count on software release notes to be all that useful so it never crossed my mind to read IDS ones.
