We have had a problem about two years ago, when Informix SE 4.10 didn't work when SCO NFS was running. But now everything is OK, with SE 4.10, SE 5.01, Online 5.00, Online 5.01 and STAR 5.01. If you want use STAR, buy version > 5.01 UD2, because of bug making it SSSLLLOOOWWW. I find SCO platform very stable and with new machines (Pentium, SCSI with fast processor, 96M RAM, simul-tasking Ethernet card) we find its performance more than adequate. We use 1 GB databases with heavy traffic and our machines are OK. If you have problems, write. Michal Hobot doctorq@sam.nask.com.pl
